Okay so I’m thinking of taking online classes at Kaplan University…I spoke with an admissions advisor online and I should begin classes on April 16…I was just wondering is it a good idea to get a degree online? Also, how long does it take…And when looking to get a job in the future will they still hire me even though I received a degree online? I’m looking to get a BS in Psychology/Substance Abuse

I currently take online classes and I like it a lot. It’s nice because it allows you to handle school and work, and children if you have them. You must be very organized and keep a calendar near your work area that shows when everything is due because it is very easy to forget when things are due and fall behind. Also I think another thing that is nice about online courses is that when taking tests, they are mostly open book. As far as will places still hire you if you have a online degree, I don’t think it matters as long as it is an accredited school.
