When your life becomes unmanageable due to an addiction like gambling, over shopping, over eating, alcohol, drugs… can computers fall into the long list of addictions?
Can computers slowly take over your life where you are not being responsible to your every day life’s responsibilities? Can it be self medicating like other addictions to avoid your mental pain?
Example: You get up in the morning with your cup of coffee and turn on your computer. You go to the news front page to find out what is going on in the world today. Then before you know it the day has gone by? This could be a house wife, a single person living alone, a young person or and elderly person.
They get so addicted that they don’t take care of all the normal responabilies in life like simple things like taking a shower every day, don’t get their bills paid on time, they loose interest in all the things that they used to like to do but no longer do them any more.
“Please” I need a lot of answers for a story I would like to write.
Maybe I/we can be of some help for people that are glued to their computer and missing out on things that would make them a more of a Happy Person. If we could make a difference in just one persons life it will be worth it.

Im in the young person category. I often find myself on the computer for close to 10 hours a day. My social life is becoming obsolete. I think its most electronics in general. I dont even notice most of the time cause theres so much to do on a computer… Time just flies by.
