Are There Any Studies or Evidence of Young Fame Being Harmful to Children?

Question by JessieBe: Are there any studies or evidence of young fame being harmful to children?
Where can I find a credible source on the psychological or behaviorial effects of children with young fame? Like the Gosselin kids, who I know are going to be screwed up adults. You hear about people like Lindsay Lohan and Taylor Momsen who are having terrible problems and suffering from addiction, but all of those are from gossip mags and blogs. Can anyone help me out?

I think the most convincing evidence is simply observing the “fruit.”

Behavioral scientists, psychologists, etc.,,, even clergy make a small fortune by telling people they and their children are “screwed up”. And they offer no solutions other than psychobabble, pharmaceutical therapy, and other therapy they refer to as “counseling.” Most of these “counselors” walk the fine line themselves.

Would that adults would use common sense but that seems too much to ask.
