or hospitals around the downtown area?

Answer by MeowMixMoFo
Christus Santa Rosa, Metropolitan Methodist Hospital, The Nix and the Baptist Hospital are all civilian hospitals downtown.
Both Christus Santa Rosa near Market Square and Metropolitan Methodist near SAC are highly rated.
There is an area known as “The Medical Center” on the Northwest side of town north of Loop 410, and to the west of IH10, where there are many, many hospitals, clinics and medical service providers.
Brooke Army Medical Center is not considered to be downtown though it is a great military hospital and right outside the down town area up IH35 North at Beach Road.
BTW the dedication for the Institute for The Intrepid (state of the art rehab facility) was dedicated at Fort Sam today.

Alcohol Abuse Treatment: What Is the Belladonna Hydrotherapy Treatment for Alcohol Abuse?
Question by JET: what is the belladonna hydrotherapy treatment for alcohol abuse?
heard this was an old treatment back in the 1930’s for people who had alochol abuse problems. trying to find out what it actually was.
Best answer:
Answer by Phantene
These are two separate treatments. First, the belladonna treatment “was an old treatment for depression and muscle spasm. Belladonna, also known as Deadly Nightshade, is a powerful sedative, narcotic and muscle relaxant that is no longer widely used for such treatments because it is also poisonous.” http://anonpress.org/faq/files/read.asp?fID=25
Hydrotherapy “studies the application of water over the human body for therapeutic use. Water is a wonderful vehicle for applying heat or cold to the body due to its physical and chemical properties” http://www.mibasa.com.br/ingles/geotherapy.htm

Question by Felix: Where can I find poadcasts of The Night Before Kerrang?
So basically I had an “addiction” to the Night Before Show aired on Kerrang radio Sun-Thurs 10-1am but sadly it got cut (not entirely sure why).
I’m now desperate to find any old poadcasts or recordings of the radio show.
Oh and does anyone know of any radio shows similar?

Alcohol Addiction Treatment: Should More Money Be Spent on Prevention of the Disease or on Its Cure?
Question by kenny s: Should more money be spent on prevention of the disease or on its cure?
wwhhhyyy???
Best answer:
Answer by Just another lady
Depends on the disease, rate of disease being spread/infecting others by being contagious, or how many people are effected already, how serious or life threatening it is…etc. If the potential for finding a cure seems greater than the potential for preventing a specific disease than the money should be spent on the cure, first, and prevention next, or maybe both at the same time with the focus being the cure?! Or, vice versa, if the potential lies in prevention being the quickest, surest way to go about it. That’s kinda a loaded question with all sorts of possible scenarios and exceptions, making one definite answer difficult : ) Good deep thinking there!

Marijuana Withdrawal Symptoms – Please Describe?
Question by Erica: Marijuana Withdrawal Symptoms – Please Describe?
Someone I love very much has been “addicted” to marijuana for over fifteen years. Their use consisted of daily hits before work, at lunch, immediately after work, several times before bed, and again in the middle of their night. They pretty much were high 75% of the day and haven’t gone a day without using marijuana since they began fifteen years ago.
As of five days ago, he stopped, cold turkey. He has talked for a few months now of trying to get clean, and happened to run out of weed last weekend and just went for it.
Now, he is like a completely different person. He is hiberbative, extremely quiet, doesn’t pay attention, gets annoyed very quickly, and doesn’t eat. He is acting very cold. I feel like we haven’t spoken more than a few sentences in the past five days, and normally we communicate for hours on end daily with ease. I am trying not to take it personally, but he won’t talk with me about it.
