Utah State Prison – Draper – ConQuest Program

The Con-Quest Program at the Utah State Prison has 400 Beds with 50 male residents per dorm. The Con-quest program is a residential substance abuse treatment program that lasts 12-18 months and usually is followed up by the aftercare program at the low security Lone Peak facility. While the intentions of this program started out good. Ultimately it has been corrupted and has become a way for DOC to manipulate the system and put more people at risk. Sadly those with good intentions at the BOP who want to make sure they are doing the right thing have no choice but to take their recommendations and just like anyone who wants to the right thing, still have a job to fight another battle, cover their own ass. DOC is FEAR TACTICS. DOC knows YOU are more valuable to them as STATE PROPERTY. They turn problems that could be relatively easy to solve into massive problems. Recently swine flu symptoms caused a quarantine of a section in promontory and quick test on 3 individuals showed negative results. Keep an eye out on this because Utah has had many stories throughout the valley of false negatives which later resulted in death. I wanted to keep my comments neutral and let you all come to your own conclusions but I can’t justify doing that anymore. Stay smart. Good Luck.
