Teenage Substance Abuse: Marijuana Has Got to Be Physically Addictive ?

Question by n2it: Marijuana has got to be physically addictive ?
I always hear all this babble about how marijuana isn’t physically addictive.

I agree that pot is great and has many uses. Same for alcohol, caffeine, and prescription medications. They are not physically addictive when used in moderation either.

However anyone who smokes high quality marijuana several times a day for many years will tell you that quitting is extremely difficult.

Especially if that person is a functioning stoner who gets all of their obligations accomplished… but still needs to light up every day.

Whatever cited scientific studies that claim that marijuana isn’t physically addictive need to come study and observe my close group of friends.

Physical withdraw symptoms include inability to eat, mood swings (sometimes violent), inability to sleep, increased anxiety, and old fashioned malaise.

The withdraws occur irrespective of the individual’s personality and ‘normal’ behavior… just so long as they smoke ALOT

any thoughts?

Most stoners I know do not think marijuana is something that you should have to quit, it is a lifestyle and a mentality.
