with my boyfriend 9 years. (we met young) I see my own therapist who thinks he has something “diagnosable” where he will need medication.

my boyfriend will only agree to go to couples therapy

he has extreme social phobia, mood swings, rages, verbally abusive

I am seeing a social worker who I really like but am afraid since its “couples therapy” she will not refer him to a psychiatrist if its necessary

QUESTION: did you see a social worker that send your partner to a psychiatrist because they felt the person had something wrong?
