The Treehouse Center was founded by Dr. Day Lee Snell and Dr. Kathleen Tanner when they saw a real need to provide girls with troubled pasts, situations of substance abuse and/ or in distressed situations with the proper guidance and therapies necessary to turn their young lives around and become happy, productive members of society. Located in Conroe Texas, The Treehouse Center provides an individualized structured residential program to assist troubled girls in achieving a productive daily life, free from abuse, delinquency, substance abuse and neglect. Through Milieu Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy our residents learn to identify maladaptive behaviors and apply new productive life strategies. We offer full time care, counseling, mentoring, education and support for girls 8 years old and up. Under the leadership of Dr. Snell and Dr. Tanner, with a caring professional staff that includes Dr.Athi Vengatesh – Psychiatrist, Dr. Bradley Frank and Dr. Stephanie Peterson – Psychologists, and Lea Bond – Psychotherapist to apply Individual, Group and Family Therapies. Twenty four hours a day, seven days a week the residents of The Treehouse Center find the support they need to grow and achieve.. The Treehouse center and its staff are members of: • ChildreNinos Bilingual Education (CMBE) • The Texas Youth Care and Child Care Worker Association • The Child Welfare League of America (CWLA) • The National Alliance of Mental Illness • The Texas Juvenile Detention Association
