I have a B.S. in Music which doesn’t certify me for teaching. I saw a music teacher job I’d like to apply for but you need to be certified in NJ. Does anyone know what I should do? I looked at the NJ cert website but there’s so much on there it’s not very clear of exactly what I need to do.

I see what you mean, very confusing, but I think I figured it out.

you need a “Certificate of Eligibility (CE): a credential with lifetime validity issued to persons who have completed a degree program of academic study and the applicable test requirements for certification. The CE permits the applicant to seek and accept employment in positions requiring certification.”
