Why Is It That People Think That Marijuana Is Such a Harmful Drug, Yet Compared to Alcohol, It’s Nothing?
Question by [email protected]: Why is it that people think that marijuana is such a harmful drug, yet compared to alcohol, it’s nothing?
countless people die from alcohol, either alcohol poisoning or drunk driving, whatever, yet it is very rare to come across someone who died directly because they used marijuana(you can’t OD on marijuana). alcohol messes up your body over time, your liver, your brain, and all that stuff, and marijuana has not shown to cause cancer or really anything else besides some brain damage after very long periods of time (not as bad as from alcohol). alcohol can be addicting to some people, yet marijuana is not chemically addicting. but somehow, people think that marijuana is some evil substance that ruins lives and makes you wanna do heroin and kill yourself. how is it make sense, then, that alcohol is legal and marijuana is illegal?

I mean, of course they’re both dangerous, that’s why there’s an age limit to drinking. but when you compare them, looking at the stats between marijuana and alcohol, it’s pretty obvious that alchol kills a hell of a lot more people. it’s not even close.
woops. ignore that second section

I’m 18 and Would Like to Purchase a Handgun. How Do I Go About Doing This in Alaska?
Question by username: I’m 18 and would like to purchase a handgun. How do I go about doing this in Alaska?
I’m mainly purchasing it for protection because I got robbed at gun point a couple months ago. Ok so if I’m 18 and a friend of mine is 21, can he purchase the pistol from the store, and then sell it to me? I think the law is 21, but I heard something about that only applying to registered dealers or something. I have never been arrested, and my buddy who would purchase the pistol actually works at the sport and goods department in this grocery store and handles the sales of guns. thanks

ok so it says this:
Handguns
* Permit to purchase handgun? No
* Registration of handguns? No
* Licensing of owners of handguns? No
* Permit to carry handguns? No*
