Help for a Friend Urgent!?
Question by Theresa McCrary: Help for a friend urgent!?
My best friend is using drugs and drinking alot. I am not sure of the exact drugs she is using but I know she isn’t smoking tobacco products. She cuts herself. Her boyfriend has tried talking to her to help her but everytime she gets mad and doesn’t want to talk. She shuts herself off to him. Her father used to beat her before she got placed in foster care. Her step-mom was also beat by her father. She finds it easier to get high or drink away her problems rather than to deal with them or talk to someone. I was wondering if there were any suggestions on how I could help her. I don’t have a care, and am only 17. She is also 17. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I just don’t want to see her continue down this path she is on and waste her life away. She has some serious problems she needs to deal with and not try to fade them away like she is.
I live 2 1/2 hours away and have no money to pay for anything..
