Marijuana:Overrated or Addicting?
Question by Yes No: Marijuana:Overrated or addicting?
I guess the way I see it is people describe being high on weed as the most amazing mind blowing awe inspiring feeling ever (but then again I’m in high school).I’ll regret not trying it sooner,be thankful I tried it,and not want to stop. But then they say it’s not addictive.
If it’s that great then why isn’t it addicting mentally? You’d think something that “awesome” would be.
If it’s not addicting then why do people seem to obsess over this stuff and describe it in that way.
I’ve come to the conclusion it’s either it’s overrated or it’s more addicting than I thought.
I’ve only run into a few people who say it’s really nice, but not that nice. They say it’s just a moderate thing to do at parties or after a long week.Fun,but no more so then masturbating.
Addiction to Opiates: Medical-Addiction Question?
Question by Brett H: Medical-addiction Question?
Hey, I’m 26 and have been reliant upon opiates since I was 18. Finally, at 23 and after months of fatigue/sickness, countless attempts at anti-depressants, treatment centers, counseling, and psychiatrists, I began methadone at the Southern Indiana Treatment Center. At first I felt much better, but rather than decrease the dose my levels were increased to “find me a stable dose where I feel semi-normal.”. Needless to say I am now on 110 mg of methadone once daily. I still feel crappy half the time and have started realizing that my body, with the way it metabolizes medicine so quickly, may never be OK without it. The peak-and-trough blood serum test suggests my body needs 140. Should I accept the fact that my body will always need opiates? Anyone have any suggestions?

My Cousin Is a Drug Addict and Is on Methadone Treatments?
Question by Siraco&Sophie: My cousin is a drug addict and is on methadone treatments?
My cousin is a major drug addict and is trying to get off of heroine so they are giving her methadone treatments. My family was just told that my cousins money is running out now to still recieve her methadone injections and that if she doesnt get the money to still take her methadone treatments then she is going to die. I know nothing about drugs or understand any of it so if my cousin can not get the money to pay for her injections will she really die and why will this cause her too die? My mother is the one who told me this and dont know alot of information on all of this or why they say she could die from this so if someone knows any information on any of this please let me know. Im really worried about my cousin now so could this really be true? Could she really die?
