If I Crave Vicodin, Three Years Later, Am I Addicted?
Question by guess: If I crave Vicodin, three years later, am I addicted?
I got into a car accident three years ago and was put on Vicodin for the pain. I took it for a month and loved the way it made me feel. I was so happy, fun to be around, loving and would strike up a convo with everyone. People thought there was a change in me and liked who I had become. It was like a great anti depressant but took effect within the hour and lasted for hours.
Years later I’ve gone through depression, have just quit anti depressants and continue to feel bad. Almost every day now I get a craving for Vicodin, I figure that if I could have just one I could make it better through the day and maybe see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Can addiction be happening this late? This has been scaring me a lot, I want to feel like I did on Vicodin but without being on anything. How do I get rid of these urges? 🙁

Take it from me, DO NOT GET ANY and start the vicious cycle. I am on Suboxone for treating a bad addiction to lortabs. If you don’t know what that is go to www.suboxone.com or just google “opiate addiction” and visit some of the message boards. Once you read/hear the horrible life threatning thing that is withdrawal hopefully it will scare you away. I lost 8 months of my life to that drug and two other friends of mine are in treatment for the addiction as well. One lost 4 years of his life due to the addiction. I spent thousands of dollars keeping up a $ 100 a day addiction.
DO yourself a favor, DON’T START. I ruined my life with my cravings to it!
