Is There a Way to Force Somebody Into Rehab? ( the State of IL ).?

Question by nilleh: Is there a way to force somebody into rehab? ( The state of IL ).?
My mother has severe alcoholism. She drinks as soon as she wakes up, and until she goes to sleep. she often wakes up in he middle of the night and drinks. Please don’t give me answers like ” well just try to talk to her ” because trust when I say her addiction is way beyond that at this point. I am aware of a law in Florida called the Baker act. Is there anything like this in Illinois? Please, help me answers. She is dying right bfore my eyes and it’s killing me.

No…..you may have them admitted…….but if they do not want to quit……..you cannot make them…….contact your local department of social service and ask…….you may want to try your local AA chapter for help………AA….does great work…….
