Can Opiates Help You Sleep?

Question by Daemon Denyer: can opiates help you sleep?
Ive been using velerian root extract for insomnia for the past 2 days, worked very well. Vererain root is basically vallium only in plant form. im not going to use narcotics but are opiates good for insomnia too? I ask this because runners make natural opiates when running which usually makes them very relaxed. I dont want to depend on velerian root aka valium for sleep

Okay, Valarium Root and Valium are not even close to being the same thing. Runners don’t make opiates when running. Opiates are narcotic drugs like morphine, codine, oxy’s, etc. You’re facts are messed up. But that’s not the point. To answer your question, everyone reacts differently to opiates. I personally get wired from them 80% of the time. Others get knocked on there can after taking just one. It’s hard to say how you would react but I don’t recommend trying it for sleep issues. Stick to the Valarium Root or try Melatonin. Both are natural. Or take Benedryl, that helps too. Good luck to you.

BTW, runner and athletes produce endorphins which keep them going when needed and chill them out when not needed. It’s something your brain just produces. Valium is an anti anxiety drug that you can only get by prescription. You would never be prescribed opiates for sleep. Doctors would never do that.
