20 years of age as a young woman i grew up with my Mother ;more as a jelouse drunk sister. Pushed aside for another family/ life/ party/ man/ child , i made my attempts for her recognition as a teen , and now im older i just want peace yet she seems to compete with my youth and Her sixth attempt to sobriety has led her into a guilt of past parenting and seems to pay me off with money how can i deal with this every time i see her im in constant need of love and approval and come home to my boyfriend crying hopeless and defensive …. i need this to end in order for my life to grow please share any advise … thank you

Go to Alanon to learn not to be a codependent and to learn to not take your mother’s disease on yourself. And seek therapy for all issues in you life that are holding you back. Best wishes!
