The thing that I really particularly like about this facility is the people that I work with. We have a very good clinical team that come from different backgrounds, different educations, different experiences. This is the 5th facility that I have worked in and what I primarily work with are people that deal with addiction but also deal with secondary issues such as anxiety, depression, and other various mental health conditions that they come into the facility with. I am a licensed mental health counselor, and I have training in cognitive therapy, psychodrama training. My real passion and model that I like to use is cognitive therapy. I am the head of the traditional track and I do run a women’s group on Friday nights as well as a group on social phobia that deals primarily or uses primarily cognitive therapy as a model. Recovery Associates of the Palm Beaches is a drug and alcohol treatment center with locations in West Palm Beach and Lake Worth, Florida. We work with men, women and teens struggling with various addictions and co-occurring disorders. Our founder, Jim Rapp, has worked in the recovery field for over 23 years.
